2022: Workshop

Design by Krang Tayari

As part of the 2nd Return International Film & Art Festival 2022, we are excited to offer two dynamic workshops on film analysis and film production, running from October 24-26. These workshops, held in collaboration with the ACC Gallery, the Film Initiative of the Bauhaus University Weimar, and Nivre Film Studio GmbH, promise to be a highlight of the festival.

Workshop Leaders

  • Christian Koch: A renowned filmmaker, Christian brings a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to the workshops. His sessions will delve into the nuances of film production, offering participants a chance to learn from his extensive career in the industry.

  • Tina Wagner: An accomplished photographer and animator, Tina will guide attendees through the intricacies of visual storytelling. Her expertise in blending photography with animation will provide a unique perspective on how to create compelling visual narratives.

  • Stefan Nacke: A distinguished filmmaker, Stefan's workshop will focus on the art of film analysis. Participants will gain insights into interpreting cinematic elements, understanding directorial choices, and appreciating the layers of meaning in film.

Special Exhibition

In addition to the workshops, a special exhibition will be on display at the mon ami cinema in Weimar starting October 24 and running for one month. This exhibition features a curated selection of photography, illustration, and drawing works, all created in response to the thought-provoking question, "What legacy do we leave for the future?" These works offer a reflective look at how artists interpret and envision the impact of our actions on future generations.

Join us at the Return International Film & Art Festival 2022 to enhance your filmmaking skills, deepen your understanding of cinematic art, and engage with thought-provoking works that challenge and inspire.
