Description

16-year-old Anna is plagued by nightmarish visions of a future destroyed by climate catastrophe and wars. She is convinced that the world is coming to an end and that there is nothing she can do about it. One day, she inexplicably wakes up in the year 2082, and her worst nightmares have come true.

Director Statement

How do we deal with hopeless situations? How do we escape powerlessness when everything seems hopeless? In the face of the current crises, can we allow ourselves to wait for the feeling of hope in order to take action? Or is hope perhaps something that we create ourselves? Something that arises when we imagine a better future despite all adversity and begin to actively create this new world ourselves?
