Description
Emma, an opera singer on the rise, loses her voice on stage. To get it back, she has to confront the shadows that haunt her.
Director Statement
The shadows we carry with us sometimes seem invincible. The victory over them lies in the acceptance and the fusion of the senses. We do not have to fight this battle alone, but in the end only we can save ourselves.
Also I had to recognize and learn this with a lot of strength. Due to my own depressions I became more and more withdrawn and until I understood I can use all the strength within me to overcome the shadows. That‘ s how I found my voice and myself. Thus, Emma is also on an inner journey of her past and finally realizes that she is strong enough to free herself from her dark depths.
I hope deeply that the film helps the people who see it to realize this for themselves and to free themselves.
